Shantel also understands that many women have historically been taught to fear strength training or believe they should “take up less space.” Her coaching flips that narrative completely. She teaches women how to become stronger, more capable, and more confident without intimidation or unrealistic expectations.
Whether someone is brand new to fitness, returning after years away from the gym, balancing motherhood and stress, or looking to become more athletic and competitive, Shantel adapts training to the individual while still creating the motivating atmosphere of a team environment.
Shantel brings a rare mix of competitive strength experience, real-world coaching, and relentless encouragement to every class she leads at Burleson Strength and Fitness. Her coaching style is built around one core belief: strength changes more than your body. It changes how you move through the world.
7 years of lifting experience and 2 years competing in Strongman and Strongwoman events, Shantel understands firsthand what it takes to build confidence, resilience, and physical capability from the ground up. Her competitive background includes:
